So Delicious Dairy Free Coconut Milk
SO DELICIOUS
CULTURED COCONUT MILK
WHAT IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE: Vegan yogurt.
FIRST BITE THOUGHTS: Is this sour cream?
SECOND BITE SMACKDOWN: Okay. You know when you get a new boyfriend, but you're still kind of hung up on your old boyfriend, but then you realize your old boyfriend kind of sucks and directly supports the veal industry and this new boyfriend is different and possibly better? This is this yogurt. It's not bursting with flavor, so it's a good base for a choose-your-own-adventure kind of meal if you add things.
NUTRITIONALLY SPEAKING: The yogurt boasts exactly 0g of protein, so I wouldn't use it as a post-workout food. However, 50 calories of the stuff gives you 20% of your recommended calcium, 25% vitamin B12, 20% vitamin D2, and 20% magnesium. There's also only 1g of sugar.
PAIR IT WITH: Fruit or granola. Seeds if you're hardcore.
FINAL THOUGHTS: Definitely a decent yogurt replacement. The texture is super smooth (unlike almond milk yogurts that resemble chunky, watery cosmic slime), but it doesn't really taste like anything.
