nasoya

tofu baked

sesame ginger

WHAT IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE: Pre-cooked, pre-seasoned tofu.

FIRST BITE THOUGHTS: Food scientists do it again.

SECOND BITE SMACKDOWN: If you hate the spongy texture of tofu, this isn't going to be your thing. I love tofu. I love this tofu. I love everyone when I'm eating this tofu. It has a slight Asian sesame flair, but it's not overwhelming.

NUTRITIONALLY SPEAKING: The package is pre-cut into four portions. One piece has 90 calories and 8g protein. There's 200mg of sodium which is kind of a lot if you eat a lot of other convenience foods, but that seems like a problem for future me. My present-day self is only vaguely concerned.

SERVE IT WITH: Salads, sandwiches, rice, veggies.

FINAL THOUGHTS: It's so perfectly pressed and seasoned and portioned and tasty that it feels like it has to be horrible for you, but the ingredient list is completely pronounceable.
